Over the past few weeks, whilst the weather was still fine, I sat watching the bees buzzing around catching the last of the nectar. Our garden is in a dip so whilst we take a few weeks longer to warm up in spring the flip side of this is our autumns feel a few weeks longer and we still had lots of flowers and autumnal colour. Shame it doesn’t last just a bit longer.
I wish I had a pet Llama,
I’d walk him through the mountains everyday,
Picking flowers and saying Hola to everyone we meet.
Only stopping to drink at the water fountain and play.
Collection inspired by our local llamas who always nod hello when we pass by. The friendly threesome happily pose for a few sketches.
Mixing and matching pots of blue and white with fab cacti and succulents, loving the greens and blues!

Spring is a little fickle at the moment, one day glorious sunshine and green leaves budding with blooms in full floweriness and the next day, cold and grey and soggy fallen petals. So ever the optimist lets shout out SPRING with a new collection of patterns and colours inspired from a few blooms I have outside.
It’s Sunday, the sun is shining and I’m checking out the UPPERCASE video before I head out. Here Janine (publisher/editor/designer) of UPPERCASE magazine gives up her top ten tips for how to stand out in a crowd.
Did you check out tip 4, original motifs – you’ll find my dandelions!
Janine also talks about their Spring issue which has a very special feature: the UPPERCASE Surface Pattern Design Guide and it is even more special because there is a little bit of me in it!! 😉
Seriously take a peek, besides me you’ll find some fantastically talented folk in the magazine and you can pick up a copy using the special little discount code ‘USPDG2014‘ – $15 off a subscription just for my lovelies!
*Happy dancing out of the studio today as a few of my designs are on there way to surtex!*
Little pink puppy loves green bows in her hair,
She ties them with great care.
Brown dog likes big blue bow ties,
They match her soft fur and beautiful eyes.
All puppies look smart with a bow tied just eyeweardock right.
