Happy Sunday, a moment captured in the nursery corner, with the sun shining through, hanging pom poms of pink, peach and soft yellow……
……inspired a new collection of patterns – painterly roses.
Printed cot sheets or paper lined drawers? or maybe patterned pom poms 😀

In-between house hunting, nursery planning, looking at new stuff for our “somewhere” home and designing, I find myself pinning a lot of images! Pinterest has been a great tool for grabbing all my favourite finds and looks, it’s pretty much like a digital pin board for those that haven’t discovered it yet (beware it is additively good). It is so easy to use and fantastic for bookmarking ideas, gathering items into themes from cooking to wedding plans, floral prints and interior design styles!
Recently I dropped by studio alique the blog of illustrator and surface pattern designer Alik Arzoumanian and saw a sneak peek of one of her new designs for a line of kids’ products, a fabulous aeroplanes and clouds design in yellow!! I can’t tell you how much I love Alik designs and how much I love pops of yellow and how much I have been pinning this current obsession.
Check out the full details and links over at my pinterest board “Pops of Yellow” and if you are already signed up to Pinterest and love colour, patterns and trends (who doesn’t?) you can follow all off my boards here.
Staying with Pinterest I shall be taking part in a Pin Hop at the end of the month, the idea is to design around a theme – the one I am currently working on is midnight garden! Sounds fun right? For the other themes and a whole bunch of fantastic designers taking part drop by the Find New Designers board!
I spy with my little eye lots of fresh greens and spring blooms – inspiration for a set of patterns and designs I am working n at the moment, not to mention it makes the studio look brighter!
Soft sums up this trend, it is oh so beautiful!
More loveliness can be seen over on my Pinterest Board – Pastel Pretties including this fab sweater by Louche! Isn’t it gorgeous!
I even tried out my own pastel colour palette for 365patterns*. A bit of a different direction, rather than flowers and florals – geometric prettiness!
**The 365 patterns a day creative design challenge is a collaborative event with lots of designers, to see the collection of patterns and for more details drop by the caravan blog.
Loving the colours out and about today, the sun was shining and everything is starting to feel spring like…..after what feels like a long white winter I need a pop of colour!
We also brought loads of peppers to roast and stuff, the smell is wonderful and the taste….yum!
