Patterns out and about

Let my smile be your umbrella

Through my window the umbrellas walked pasted.  The rain never makes me sad, it’s refreshing, mood changing and reminds me of home.  Days like this, especially on a weekend, are the perfect excuse to stay at home wear what you like curl up and read a book!

And all the brollies look so colourful even when the sky is grey. Take a look at a few below and hopefully they will help with the rain clouds.

A project I really want to try is to make my own umbrella from my own fabrics!  That would be great, walking down the street, swinging my patterns over my head! One to jot down on my wish/to do list.  If you would like to make your own jump over to Modkid Boutique and grab the FREE instructions. Being a nosy parker I’d love to see them if you do.

I love the inside out feel to both the Pastel Umbrella  (via brollies Galore) and the london undercover and maharishi umbrella, why should only the skies enjoy all those fantastic patterns!

I have several umbrellas, a couple for my bag, a see through one for days when I have fabulous hair (I have to say that the chances of that are super slim on a rainy day) and the standard black goes with anything in a hurry umbrella.  I think I am going to work on a few patterns to start my brolly empire, I’ll post back on my progress! What’s your brolly like?
